I found out over the weekend that the phrase added bonus is considered redundant. This blew my mind and caused me to research other common redundancies. Here are a some I found, only a few of which had occurred to me before:

revert back
a.m. in the morning
basic necessities
false pretense
personal opinion
join together
ATM machine
close proximity
end result
plan ahead

One of the most common redundancies I’ve heard is still remains.
I’m always correcting Paul Simon when I hear The Sound of Silence. But only in my head.
